Jabra SOLEMATE Mini
The new Jabra SOLEMATE Mini is the perfect travel companion that lets users take their music to places they’d never have thought possible. Hassle free and designed for use anywhere, the SOLEMATE mini has many handy features including Bluetooth and NFC technology, durability, 8 hour battery life and an integrated cable in the sole of the speaker so users have the choice to connect wirelessly or wired. Available in a range of bold primary colours. £79.99. Available from Amazon.co.uk
Tom's Review: "This Pocket sized Jabra Solemate is big sound in a small package. I used this over the Easter weekend when I had a few friends over and they were all stunned by its performance. The sound quality is great and volume is perfect for a room. The jaggered design at the bottom gives it grip so it wont fall off the surface its placed upon. With it being BlueTooth, it is super easy to connect up any of your devices. Great little house/portable speaker."
QDOS Q-BOPZ Suction speaker
Available in 7 different eye catching colours, the QDOS Q-BOPZ features a handy suction pad to enable it to stick to almost anything. It can be stuck to the back of a smartphone or tablet and used as a stand with sound, or stuck to a window, desk, or car dashboard for music on the go.
Perfect for parties or relaxing at home, it's covered in silicon which makes it durable and splash resistant. The bluetooth range is 10 metres and it provides up to seven hours continuous playback. The volume goes pretty high too!
Tom's Review: "This speaker is genius. The suction pad makes it 100% portable. One minute I was using it in my car and the next it was on the back of my phone while I was walking around. The sound quality of the speaker is great considering the low price. I was pleasantly suprised with the bass and overall sound quality. If you need a portal speaker I would recommend this."

Australia's number one sunscreen SunSense offers SPF 50 and 50+ protection using specially designed formulas and quality ingredients - now with the added skin nourishing benefits of Vitamin E. A firm favourite with busy parents thanks to its Toddler Milk and Ultra products which come in easy-to-apply roll-ons, SunSense is on a mission to promote sun safety in schools and amongst young families in the UK with its newly launched Sun Sensible campaign. Click here for more information. SunSense Ultra is a light, smooth, easy-to-apply high factor sun cream for children and adults providing SPF 50+ protection with 4 hours water resistance. Great for use at home or on holiday, it is water-resistant for 4 hours and available in a 500ml pump, 125ml bottle and a handy 50ml roll-on, ideal for school bags.
Bev's Review: " We tested the roll-on SunSense and it's a genius product for children. They were happy to apply the lotion themselves and it covered little legs and arms very easily, so I was happy that they were getting full coverage. It lasted well too and didn't need re-applying all afternoon. We'll definately look out for the roll-on variety in future."
Natural Sun Protection by JASON
We recently tested the natural sun protection range by JASÖN®. Perfect for families; instead of lathering your body with nasty chemicals, protect your skin with this natural sun care range. JASON is loved by the stars including Reese Witherspoon, Welsh opera singing beauty, Katherine Jenkins and UK fashionista Stella McCartney, it cares for your skin against harmful rays and with no nasty added extras; just simple, natural products that really work.
We tested Kids Natural Sunblock SPF45: specially formulated for tender skin, this sun care formula is tear-free and water resistant. £11.99. Lucy says: "This was ideal for all the family, not just the children. It wasn't greasy and it wasn't too thin and runny like a lot of the sprays seem to be. My daughter has reacted badly to some of the main brands in the past, so I liked the fact that this contained all natural products - and it worked! No dry, itchy skin for her (which is usually how she is by the end of the holiday). It offered brilliant protection - no sunburn - and lasted the whole week with some left over. I would definately search out this product again."

In the garden
Kids Baz Bag by BeanBagBazaar
Children can sit on this huge bean bag in up to four different seating positions, making this one of the most versatile kids’ bean bags available. It can be used as a giant floor cushion, an upright chair, a lounger or a canoe seat. The Kids Baz Bag® is made using 100% waterproof polyester which means you don’t have to worry about spillages - they run right off! It also means that sticky finger prints can be wiped away quickly and easily with a damp sponge. This waterproof fabric also means that the bean bag can be used outdoors in the summer months either as a garden sun lounger or sun chair bean bag.
Sarah's review: From the minute this big, bright, and brilliant bag arrived, it has been much used and loved! My daughter (aged 8) has loved discovering new ways to sit on it and has had lots of fun using it - the best discovery was using it to sit on whilst sliding down our stairs... cue much giggling!
The Baz Bag is really comfortable and can be used as a seat in a variety of positions or just as a lovely big floor cushion. It's lightweight too which means it can easily be carried around the house but sturdy enough to withstand lots of use! The bag is a lovely bright colour and very easy to keep clean with it's waterproof and 'kid proof' covering, and we are looking forward to using it outside too as the weather improves. Think we will have lots of fun with this and we are sure it will last for years to come!
Pirate Ship Sand Pit
Mel's Review: When I received the pirate ship my 3 girls couldn’t wait for Daddy to build it and nagged him until he did!. It took about one and a half hours to build and the instructions were quite easy to read. We decided that we wouldn’t put the liner in the bottom for the sand but to let the girls play with it as a boat. That way we could move it around the garden as and when we wished to stop the grass from dying. Everyone that comes in our garden comments on how lovely the boat is and many stories have been made up when the children have been playing in it.
It has a handy storage area in the front which is ideal for storing balls or other small garden toys. If you were using it as a sandpit it has a cover which is easy to put on.
Going for a Walk
The Smart Trike Steer-n-Grow was a hit with Alex (aged 20 months) who had never been on a trike before! Mummy and Daddy loved it too as the steering was easy and Alex had stands to put her feet on until she grows to reach the peddles and a little belt to help her stay in her seat. Alex also loved putting her favourite toys in the bucket at the back so they could enjoy the ride too! Perfect for going to the park or for a walk in the fresh air. The Smart Trike is £52.99 and will grow with your child from 10 months to 3 years. We gave a pair of Hi Tec walking boots and Hi Tec walking sandals to one of our little testers and they were tested on several family walks in a variety of conditions. The boots were great for one very muddy walk and a good alternative to wellies as they provided more grip although several pairs of socks were needed, just like Daddy does with his walking boots. The walking sandals were just like a summer sandal, a bit heavier, and made it on more walks as they could be worn with socks or without. Our family hadn't even thought about proper walking shoes for their 4 year old but now would always buy these rather than rely on wellies or trainers. From £17.00 and visit www.hi-tecdirect.co.uk for stockists.
Alice's eyes lit up as soon as she spotted the scooter and it had to be tested out straight away! The scooter is very funky looking with clear plastic wheels and bright but not babyish colours. It's also very light and the handle prop is very quickly removed and reinserted - must be one of the faster pre-schooler toys to assemble! It also comes with picture instructions and safety guide so you can explain easily to a non-reader the dos and don'ts of scootering. And there are some stickers included as well. A well-built first scooter for any child!
